The Project

The wider home-energy solution also incorporated a MyEnergi Eddi immersion controller and Zappi EV charger, allowing solar generation, battery storage, hot-water diversion and electric vehicle charging to work together as one intelligent renewable energy system.

Greenio designed and installed an integrated residential solar PV, battery storage and EV charging system at a property in Lincolnshire. The installation was centred on a detached garage roof and combined 10 high-efficiency AIKO Neostar 510W solar panels with a Fox ESS hybrid inverter and 10 kWh battery.

The Customer

Greenio managed the specialist groundwork alongside the electrical and solar installation, keeping responsibility for the overall system integration and quality of delivery. Once commissioned, the customer was also supported with app configuration, tariff setup and system optimisation.

The homeowner wanted a high-quality system that would maximise the value of the available garage roof while integrating battery storage and EV charging. The main challenge was the distance between the property’s consumer unit and the proposed solar array, which required extensive cable routing, trenching and careful coordination around existing structures and services.

Where Are They Now

The hybrid solar and battery installation was completed on schedule in January 2026 despite the technical complexity of the site and challenging winter conditions.

The completed system gives the household the ability to generate renewable electricity, store surplus energy, divert power to hot water and integrate solar-compatible EV charging. This reduces the need to purchase electricity directly from the grid and provides greater control over how energy is generated and used around the home.
