Blue Stamp Travel, Daybrook, Nottingham
The Project
The 9.24 kWp commercial solar installation uses 22 Jinko Tiger Neo N-Type panels with SolarEdge inverter technology and panel-level power optimisers. Battery storage was later incorporated to allow more of the renewable electricity generated on site to be retained and used by the business rather than relying solely on immediate consumption or grid export.
Greenio delivered a commercial solar PV and battery storage solution for Blue Stamp Travel at The Old Bank in Daybrook, Nottingham. The established commercial property required a tailored design rather than a standard rooftop solar layout, with the available generation capacity spread across two separate roof areas.

The Customer
The addition of battery capacity allowed surplus solar generation to be stored for use when the business needed it, helping turn the property into a more energy-independent commercial building. Greenio has continued to support the customer as its renewable energy strategy has developed.
The customer wanted to reduce dependence on grid-supplied electricity and make better use of renewable energy generated at the property. Greenio designed the solar PV system around the building’s roof layout and electrical requirements, creating a strong foundation that could later be enhanced with commercial battery storage.

Where Are They Now
The original solar PV design estimated approximately 7,604 kWh of renewable electricity generation each year. Following the addition of battery storage, the customer reported that the property was, at that time, operating 100% off-grid while also exporting surplus renewable electricity.
The project demonstrates the value of combining commercial solar panels with battery storage: generating clean electricity on site, retaining more of it for later use and reducing reliance on purchased grid electricity.
